Scores of Interviews in 2009

I was archiving my projects from 2009 and realized I directed 116 interviews throughout the year.  Crazy, I knew I filmed a few, but not that many.  That’s going to be a tough record to break in 2010 unless the documentary financing fairies drop some cash.

New “Work” page up

It has been a long time in the making and finally arrived. The new “work” page includes some recent work and old favorites I dug out of the archives. I’ll be adding more in the future. Currently my archives are about 20 terabytes, lots of material to sift through and I have so many projects right now that I need to finish. In time more will be up.

In Oxford filming the TEDGlobal Fellows

When you walk around this town you can feel the history. Amazing! This photo is from the tower at Magdalan College, one of the 38 independent colleges of Oxford. It was founded in 1458!

If you haven’t heard of TED you should check it out.

“Fill’er Up” heads to Washington DC for filming

We’ve landed.

I’ll be filming around DC over the next five days. I’ve been working over a month with Iris Ichishita to produce this segment of the doc. We have some great interviews planned. Iris is doing a great job. Should be some exciting stuff. I don’t want to post who we are interviewing and release our story line to the world, not yet at least.

“Fill’er Up” Begins Filming Today!

It was 2003 when the idea hatched in my brain.  After five years and a few false starts I finally filmed my first interview. I tried for years to get this documentary off the ground with a medley of different producers and financiers and in the end, it’s just me and a small crew.  We’ll see who we pick up along the way.  It is going to be a long road.

I have to thank my good friend and cinematographer, David Waldman, for shooting the first interview.  Many more to come.
